According to the Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams, a total of 158 people have been arrested and charged over the weekend for various offenses under the regulations set during the Country Wide State of Emergency.
- 107 were arrested for failing to wear a face mask or other face-covering while in public.
- 41 were arrested for breach of curfew.
- 9 were arrested for failing to practice social distancing.
- 1 was arrested for leaving mandatory quarantine before time.
The current State of Emergency is set to expire on Friday, September 4th to which the Prime Minister, Dean Barrow has stated that he doubts that a further extension will be needed, but only time will truly tell.
