The Belize Police Department reports that around 3:00 AM on Sunday, June 21st, members of the Belize Coast Guard were patrolling near the lagoon side of Little Belize in the Corozal District when they found seven civilians setting up what is believed to be an airstrip for a drug plane to land on.
Two Police Officers and Three members of the Belize Defense Force who were off duty at the time were also reportedly found in the area and were detained for questioning.
The Law Enforcement Officers were released shortly after being questioned based on the claims that they were on a fishing trip in the area.

Williams has also ordered that all twelve of the men be charged for Breach of Curfew.
All twelve of the men, whose names have not been released, are reported to be from Douglas Village in the Orange Walk District.
