The Belize Police Department released a memo stating that a total of 188 people were arrested over the weekend, throughout Belize, for various offenses under the State of Emergency Regulations.
- 128 were arrested for not wearing a face mask while in public.
- 52 were arrested for breach of curfew.
- 7 were arrested for failing to practice social distancing.
- 1 preacher was arrested for having more people in the church than currently allowed.
These regulations have been put in place to attempt the further spread of COVID-19 in Belize and everyone needs to play their part in following them to try and stop the pandemic once again.
