Corozal Community College (CCC) secured the Northern High School Girls Football Championship on Saturday, February 8, at the Orange Walk People’s Stadium. The tournament, organized by the Northern Secondary Schools Sports Association (NSSSA), featured intense matchups between the region’s top teams.
Thrilling Final Match
In a dramatic final, CCC faced off against defending regional champions Belize High School of Agriculture (BHSA). After a 1-1 draw in regulation time, CCC emerged victorious in a 3-2 penalty shootout, claiming the championship title.
Standout Performances
🏆 Cristel Tzul of CCC was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament. Tzul, who also earned MVP honours in the Corozal Football Association Women’s First Division Championship, played a key role in CCC’s success.
