Royal Kahal Resort became the scene of a shocking tragedy after police found three American women dead in their hotel room on Coconut Drive in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye.
Authorities identified the victims as Imane Mallah (24), Wafae El-Arar (26), and Koutar Naqqad (23), all originally from Morocco. Officers responded to the scene around 11:40 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025, after receiving reports of unresponsive guests in Room 1011 at Royal Kahal Resort.
Police discovered one woman lying partially nude on a bed with a yellowish substance coming from her mouth. Another was found face down near the bathroom, wearing a leopard-print dress. The third lay near a table, dressed in a pink blouse and short pants.
Forensic experts processed the scene, and a toxicologist will conduct further examinations to determine the exact cause of death. Preliminary findings suggest a possible drug overdose, but the investigation continues.
