Belizeans Murdered In Chetumal Identified

Authorities have identified the two Belizean men found murdered alongside three Mexicans in Quintana Roo. The Belizeans murdered in Chetumal have been identified as, Michael Whitaker, 27, and Aaron Tun, 18, who were discovered near a building by the Rio Hondo River in Sacxan, Quintana Roo. Both men were wanted for a police investigation before their tragic deaths.

Mexican police discovered the victims’ bodies early Saturday morning. Reports indicate that all five individuals, including three Mexican nationals, were shot and showed signs of torture. Investigators suspect that cartel activity in Chetumal played a role in the brutal killings. This incident underscores the growing concerns about organized crime affecting both Belize and Mexico.
