Police have confirmed the tragic death of 23-year-old Simon Francis Arana Jr., a respected local teacher in Hope Creek Village, after a fatal shooting on the night of Monday, February 10.
Authorities responded to reports of gunfire around 8:25 p.m., arriving at a residence where they found Arana’s lifeless body on the verandah. An immediate investigation was launched.
According to initial reports, Arana was socializing with friends when the gunfire erupted, resulting in his untimely death. The investigation remains ongoing as police work to uncover the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
The community is in mourning, remembering Arana as a dedicated educator at the Institute for Vocational Education and Training (ITVET). His contributions to local schools and students were highly regarded, making his loss especially heartbreaking.
