A well-known businessman from Chan Chen Village was reportedly gunned down this morning near the corner of 7th Avenue and 2st Street South in Corozal Town.
According to reports by the Corozal Police Department, the victim who was identified as 30-year-old, Eder Hall, was reportedly at a local taco stand ordering food when an unknown male stood next to him and suddenly pulled out a firearm from the waist of his pants and aimed it at Eder.
Hall reportedly began to flee for his life but his killer began to chase him and begun to fire shots towards him.
Eder Hall was reportedly hit several times and was reported dead upon arrival at the Corozal Community Hospital.
According to Corozal Police, Eder Hall was well known to them as back in May 2017 he was reportedly kidnapped in Ranchito Village along with his brother, Eliazar Hall, and their friend Emir Rosado.
Back in 2017, Hall had reported to Corozal Police that all three of them were traveling from Chan Chen Village to Ranchito Village where they were going to buy a vehicle but instead they were ambushed, carjacked, and kidnapped but he managed to use a razor blade that was in his wallet to get free from his captors and overpower one of them and take away his gun which led to both men who kidnapped them to escape fleeing for their life.
Both kidnappers were later detained and charged for kidnapping the three men.
