A 13-year-old student in Corozal Town was threatened with a knife by classmates, raising serious concerns about school safety.
The incident took place at the Corozal Community College, where sources say this is not the first time such an event has occurred. Frustrated by the school’s failure to address the ongoing bullying, the student’s mother took matters into her own hands, filing a report with the police in hopes of getting justice and protection for her child.
Authorities are now looking into the situation as the community calls for stronger measures to ensure student safety on campus.
Various Corozaleños have taken to Social Media to comment on how family members have gone through similar events in the past and call on the Ministry of Education to step up and do something about the drastic bullying occurring at the Corozal Community College.
I’ve been hearing about this for a while now, and it’s beyond frustrating! I have two siblings at CCC, and I always make sure to check in with them because one thing I will NOT tolerate is anyone messing with them. A lot has changed, and not for the better! CCC used to be different, but now it seems like they’re just letting things slide. I’m glad someone finally called this out because enough is enough!
See again my daughter is a victim of a bulling at ccc n it’s a boy always everyday bulling her plus the teacher see it n never does anything…at times my lee gial don’t even want to go to school but I am getting tired of this n ccc need to stop suspending DAT no the help the kids at times ccc suspend the one that is nice t the other day too a girl in the girls bathroom lock them self to beat a girl all her uniform was full of blood…n suspended both of the girls when the other girl did never had the fault she neven defend e self…but this the happen cc cthe get worst n this was my daughter dream school..n now they bulling her every dam day .
Ministry of Education or who so ever is in charge should really investigate COROZAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE and the whole system and teachers from there because its not just bullying that is happening also delicate situation between students with teachers and nothing is done and why because they just worried of the money and not the students. re teachers along with principal should be removed complete and put teachers that will do the job that should be done
