Belize Police report that a man is dead and his girlfriend is recovering in the hospital after they were attacked on Friday night.
According to the report, 23-year-old O’neil Ferguson and his girlfriend, 33-year-old Rhondine Gillett were laying in their bed watching tv at around 10:30 when they heard the sound of one of their windows being opened up.
Moments later multiple gunshots were fired at them.
Ferguson is reported to have been fatally wounded meanwhile Gillett suffered a gunshot wound to her left arm.
Upon arrival, Belize Police found Fergunson unresponsive and with 8 bullet wounds to his head and body.
Scenes of Crime technicians recovered twelve expended 9mm shells.
One person has been detained by police.
