Toledo Police report that on Sunday, August 9th, just after 8:00 PM the home of an elderly retired American couple in the Kulxin Ha area of Toledo District was invaded by 5 armed, masked men.
It is reported that they gained entry via an unlocked glass window in the bathroom.
Gayle Scafe, and his wife, Dona Scafe, both 86-years of age report that they were sitting at home when just after 8:00 PM 5 men of dark complexion, wearing masks over their face entered their home.
One of the men was observed to be wielding a gun while the other 4 had knives.
The robber with the gun is reported to have then placed the front of the pistol on the head of Gayle and demanded all of the contents of his safe.
Gayle immediately told the masked robber that they did not own a safe but he had money in his wallet which he took out and handed to him.
In the meantime, a 2nd robber held a knife up to Dona Scafe while the remaining 3 masked robbers ransacked the house and stole any valuables they were able to find before making their escape.
Fortunately, the Scafe’s were reported to have gotten out of this home invasion with no serious injuries other than a small cut wound on Dona’s head.
The Scafe’s are unable to identify anyone of the masked robbers.
Toledo Police are currently investigating into the matter.
