Stann Creek Police report that a total of 11 expatriates aged from 36 to 72 years of age were escorted to the Placencia Police Station after they were found attending a social event.
According to the authorities, Police Officers visited Buba Wuba Grill & Smoke Shack on Harbor Place North in Placencia Village where several persons were seen on the second floor at the residence of the owner.
Upon making checks the officers found that the owner of “Buba Wuba” was hosting a social gathering with a total of 11 persons attending (including the owner himself).
They were all informed that they were part-taking in a restricted social event and escorted to the Placencia Police Station where the 10 guests were charged with “Attending a Restricted Social Event” and the owner was charged for “Hosting a Restricted Social Event”.
