We have received word from the Belize Police Department that authorities have managed to capture five armed men after they attempted to rob a Scotia Bank located in the Belama area of Belize City.
Quick response by Belize City Police resulted with the men being caught in the Seashore Promenade area of Belize City while attempting to flee the scene in a dark grey minivan.
It is believed that they were attempting to reach a getaway boat parked in the area.
While attempting to flee from the police, two of the five men are reported to have been injured in the shootout and have been taken to the KHMH where they are receiving aid.
* These are all still unconfirmed reports and even though the robbery and apprehension has been confirmed, the exact details have yet to be issued by the Belize Police Department.
