Four More Belizeans Test Positive For COVID-19!

The total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Belize now stands at 18, that is four new cases confirmed over the last 24 hours.

The confirmed cases are reported to be in the following areas:

  • One female in San Ignacio Town reported having gotten it from being in close contact with a previously confirmed patient.
  • Three people in Belize City who all also came in close contact with a previously confirmed patient.

The Ministry of Health also reports that COVID-19 Patient #3 was re-tested after 15 days of quarantining and the test results came back positive.

It is being observed that the majority of patients testing positive in Belize City has come from the attendance of a social event held at the Plaza Diner on Saturday, March 14th, 2020.
