Guatemalan National Wanted By Police For Stabbing His Family

Update: Esau Ramirez was captured by Police Officers four days later hiding in a cane field near San Lorenzo Village and has been arrested and charged with three counts of Attempted Murder and one count of Breach of Protection.

He currently remains in the Belize Central Prison until his next mandated court date on August 24th, 2020.

His common-law wife and two children have all been released from the hospital.


A Guatemalan National is currently being sought by authorities for the stabbing incident of three persons which occurred on Friday night in their home in San Jose Village, Orange Walk District.

According to Orange Walk Police, 39-year-old Rebecca Munoz, 19-year-old Dianna Munoz, and a minor are currently at the Northern Regional Hospital suffering from several stab wounds to their body inflicted by their common-law husband/father Esau Ramirez.

Rebecca Munoz is reported to have suffered grave injuries and had to undergo surgery.
