Police are investigating the Orange Walk taxi driver murder after 51-year-old Romualdo Bartolo Vasquez was fatally stabbed on Wednesday night in Trial Farm Village.
Around 8:30 p.m., authorities responded to a call on West San Martin Street, where they found Vasquez’s crashed Volkswagen Jetta taxi.
Vasquez was discovered outside the vehicle with multiple stab wounds. Reports suggest the attack followed an argument with a passenger.
Despite his critical injuries, Vasquez attempted to drive away but lost control and crashed. He was rushed to Northern Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Inside the taxi, authorities found a stainless steel knife with a yellow handle. The Orange Walk taxi driver murder remains under investigation as police search for the suspect.
