Corozal Police are investigating into the sudden execution of 31-year-old Raymond Jenkins of Carolina Village, Corozal District.
According to reports, Jenkins had gone to the neighboring village of Calcutta on Wednesday, July 22nd at around 2:15 PM to take his cellphone to be repaired.
As the repairs were being done he went back out to sit in his car and wait and that is when two men on a red motorcycle stopped next to his vehicle and one of the men shot him.
Jenkins was rushed to the Corozal Community Hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Of note, there has recently been a huge spike in violence in Corozal District as there were 3 gun related incidents in the past week, out of 3 of them 2 people were killed.
Jenkins being the first and Jair Tamay, found dead on Saturday morning under the bleachers at Ricalde Stadium, being the second.
