Reports coming in are that sometime yesterday, Wednesday, August 5th, police received a tip which led to them stopping and searching a Government-issued vehicle somewhere between Orange Walk and Belize City with 3 immigration officers inside.
Upon searching the vehicle, police found 21 parcels of marijuana which were later weighed to a total of 8 pounds.
The three immigration officers, reportedly 1 from Belmopan and 2 from Cayo were arrested and are expected to be charged later today.
