On Thursday night around 7:30 PM, a man reported to Cayo Police that his cattle were missing from his pasture, located at Mile 41 in Cotton Tree Village, Cayo District.
According to the report, he began to search for them and eventually recovered 14 of them however the 15th cow was nowhere to be seen.
A few hours later he was asked to meet Police Officers at the Roaring Creek Police Station where he was shown a slaughtered cow in the laying in the back of the Police Pickup and asked if he was able to identify it as his missing cow.
The cow was identified as being his by a yellow tag that he had placed on each of his cattle.
Twenty-Three-year-old Arlen Pelayo, twenty-four-year-old Kevin Jones, and a fourteen year old minor were jointly charged for the crime of Cattle Theft.
