Securing America’s borders is critical for national safety, strength, and stability. Countries along migratory routes must prevent illegal immigration to the U.S.
A new policy enforces U.S. visa restrictions on illegal immigration, targeting foreign officials—including immigration officers, airport authorities, and port officials—who knowingly enable unlawful entry. This includes failing to enforce immigration laws or implementing policies that facilitate illegal crossings, especially at the southwest border.
This action aligns with the expanded 2024 3C policy, which penalizes private sector entities that provide travel services to illegal immigrants.
The U.S. Visa restrictions will stay in place until responsible officials take action to prevent illegal transit. The U.S. remains committed to border security and strict enforcement.
Under Section 212(a)(3)(C) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, the Secretary of State can bar individuals whose entry could impact U.S. foreign policy. Certain family members may also face visa restrictions.
