According to reports, 37-year-old Dolores Sho of Santa Rosa Village left his home with his brother-in-law and a male friend at around 8:30 PM on Friday, July 24th to go fishing in the Stann Creek River.
At around 1:00 AM on Saturday morning they decided to head back home and began making their way down the river when they came across an area of the river covered in bamboo trees.
Sho was reported to have attempted to swim under the trees but never resurfaced.
The other two men began to look for him and eventually found him unresponsive under the trees.
The lifeless body of Dolores Sho was transported to the Southern Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
