Corozal Police were called to the Santiago Ricalde Stadium at around 6:30 AM on Saturday morning where the lifeless body of 23-year-old Jair Tamay was found laying on the ground behind the bleachers with a gunshot wound to his head.
It is believed that Tamay was shot sometime around 8:00 PM on Friday night as people living in the surrounding area report that they heard a gunshot go off around that time.
Corozal Police are currently investigating the matter.
